The full name of Tunku Abdul Rahman is Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al- Haj ibni Almarhum Sultan Abdul Hamid Halim Shah II. He was the first Chief Minister of the Federation of Melaya from 1955-1957, before becoming the first Prime Minister of Malaysia after the independence on 1957. He remained Prime Minister following the formation of Malaysia in 1963 when Sarawak, Sabah and Singapore joined the federation. He resigned in 1970. He is known as the Bapa Kemerdekaan

( Father of Independence) in Malaysia.
