Tun Dr.Mahathir bin Mohammad is known as the Father of Modernization, he has never lost an election campaign. He maintained that record and created another one when he was 92 as he was set to be sworn in as the world's oldest elected leader. As the fourth prime minister he had created several legacies which had contributed to the Malaysia now. Tun Mahathir had a grand vision to transform Malaysia from a rubber and tin exporter to a fully industrialized developed nation in 2020 and he established the MSC (Multimedia Super Corridor) in the mid 1990 and this helped the grow of ICT sector. As part of Tun Mahathir’s policies to drive Malaysia towards Modernization, he encouraged mega projects like the Petronas Twin Towers skyscrapers that have become a prominent landmark in the city of Kuala Lumpur. Work began on the towers in 1993 and the towers were completed in June 1996. The towers were ranked as the tallest buildings in the world from 1998 to 2004 and remain as the tallest twin towers in the world.
